This is an item for the specialist collector of vintage Olympics Souvenirs.
This is a vintage 1990s umbrella that was made to celebrate the XVII Winter Olympics held in the Norwegian city of Lillehammer in 1994. It was the second Winter Games to be hosted in Norway — the first being the 1952 Winter Games in Oslo, and the fourth Olympics overall to be held in a Nordic country.
My umbrella has the Games logo on the edge, as photographed. It is now 28 years old - and the umbrella has never been used and is still in its original thick clear plastic storage sheath.
The canopy is a Royal blue colour and is decorated with neon abstract figures taking part in some of the winter sports featured in the games.
The handle is a good quality wooden one - and the central tip is also wood. The spokes are all carefully covered with large hard black plastic tip caps. All good quality Scandinavian design and quality.
The umbrella is 34 inches in length. I would have to send this as a medium parcel and this will cost about £6.95 and applied at the checkout.
It is a rare item - and I haven't been able to find another one.
It is in pristine condition having never been used and it is certainly a very stylish piece of 1990s Norwegian design.
