This is a fine etching and drypoint by the British printmaker, Francis Dodd.

It shows an Italian townscape looking over the Ponte di Mezzo in Pisa.

The drypoint on this impression is just fabulous - very dark with lots of burr and texture.

The print is signed in pencil bottom right corner and signed and dated in the plate to the bottom left.

Dimensions: Mount size is 28 x 40 cm; the platemark is 13.5 x 26.5 cm

The print is in fabulous condition - printed on a pale green fine paper, which was much favoured by Etching Revival printmakers at this time.

CONDITION: The print has no condition problems and has been given a new acid-free, museum-quality window mount.

This is probably as nice an example of this print that you might find - and ready just for you to frame.

An impression of similar quality is in the Cleveland Museum of Art.

The fine presentation and immaculate condition of this print are reflected in my fair asking price.

Postage quoted is for Royal Mail UK next-day special delivery post to you. This will cost £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
