This beautiful vase 1980s piece of Scottish Glass. It was by Perthshire Glass - looking to earlier Monart and Strathearn glass vases for inspiration. It is not a MONART or VASART vase, and it is later in creation. It has been hand-blown, so is still a unique piece. It has had its pontil mark completely ground down.
All the same, this is a lovely piece of vintage Scottish glass - it is a tall trumpet-shaped vase with a foot and straight sides.
The main body colour is a clear bluebonnet colour - it is mottled with random flecks of a darker French blue colour right up to the rim. This blue speckling forms an attractive pattern all over the glass. I have taken lots of images for your inspection. There are little splatters of gold aventurine towards the top.
Dimensions: Height is 8 1/2 inches. The diameter at the top is 5 1/4 inches and the diameter at the bottom is 3 3/4 inches.
