It dates to the 1950s. T
The lid has has a petit-point embroidery. This consists of tiny stitches making up a picture featuring a bouquet of roses set against a black silk background.
The other side of the compact is gold-tone with an engine-turned pattern of light concentric circles on the metal, as photographed.
Inside there is a powder reservoir and the original mesh powder sifter. It is generally nice and clean – but does have some remnants of old powder on the edges.
The hinges and opening mechanism work just fine and are nice and firm. The mirror has no issues, marks or damages.
Dimensions: the diameter is 7.5 cm (3 inches). It has a more slim depth - just about 0.5 cm
It is listed at a fair price. It will cost about £2.45 to send to you with the Royal Mail in the UK.
