This is a very sweet vintage / antique opalescent milk glass lampshade. It has a bit of age to it - and I think that it dates to the 1920s or 1930s, and is possibly French in origin.
It has a very unusual quatrefoil undulating shape - a little like a draped tablecloth arranged on a square table. I love the clear ruby red piped and trailed glass which forms a decorative border on the rim section.
The shade comes with a decorative brass gallery - for you to hang your bulb from. It is certainly a most unusual and very pretty that would look good in an alcove, hallway vestibule, or as a feature light in a study. It would look stunning with a little modern fancy shaped or golfball size LED bulb in it.
Dimensions: it is 7 1/2 inches square at the widest point and has a height of 4 inches. Including the brass gallery, it is 5 1/4 inches.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
