This is a nice decorative antique figurine.
It is NOT a reproduction - but a genuine antique Staffordshire pastille burner dating to the late 19th century.
This one represents Prince Albert, Consort of Queen Victoria.
It is in excellent antique condition - with some natural crazing and discolouration evident on the base. This is to be expected on an old piece - and he looks just fabulous on display.
If you compare this fine figure with the reproduction that I also have listed (now sold)- you will see that this one has much more detailing to the modelling - especially on the detailing on Albert's jacket, hands and the back of his chair. His face is also so much better painted.
There are holes in the back where you would put little pastille incense tablets or cones.
Prince Albert measures 7 1/2 inches in height.
He is a much rarer model - and this is reflected in my asking price.
