These old late 1920s Continental Glass light shades with their pretty orange and yellow colours and Oriental motifs are now hard to find. It is not marked, but I think it might be Czech in origin or possibly French.
This one would be hung from a ceiling and has it;s original bronzed metal hanging fitment, as photographed. Each shade could also be added to a lamp with a goose=neck shape - where the shade hangs down and shows the images upright.
The top of the shade is a mottle orange colour - to suggest it might be made of coloured marble. The main body colour is yellow with a subtle blended orange tint to the top. Around the shade - we have Oriental images of a Pagoda, a crane in flight and a pink cherry tree in blossom.
Dimensions: The height is 6 1/4 inches (to the top of the metal gallery). It is 5 1/2 inches at the widest point. Each is 350 grams unpacked.
My price reflects that the shades are in such excellent antique condition and come with original hanging fitment.
