These little comic cups and saucers are extremely rare and date to the early 20th century.
They have the 1920 star mark used by Paragon on the base, as photographed.
The designs are early forerunners of better-known designs by Eileen Soper and Beatrice Mallet.
The cup is entitled Market Day - and is very strange showing a strange Lady Duck in a horse-drawn cart and going to market.
On the back is a little Teddy Bear - which ties the design to that which appears on the saucer. This also features the same bear, shown to the right-hand side.
The plate is entitled: Teddie's Bedtime - this shows three little bears on their way to bed - they all carry candles to light the way - and two little bears carry toys.
I havent seen any other items in this series - so these are pretty rare Paragon pieces.
Each piece is in good antique condition with no chips or damages.
A fair price for these rare and highly collectable pieces.
