The Beswick Circus, as well as the Ballet and Dawn Chorus patterns are amongst some of my favourite designs on 1950s British ceramics.
I have on offer on my site two very rare pieces in this pattern. This teapot and also the hard-to-find coffee pot,
This stylish Ballet pattern was designed by Albert Hallam and was in produced between 1956 and 1961. It was classified as "Ballet" but was also known as Pavlova. The design is a mid-century classic and features a couple dancing and stylish trees.
This is the teapot. It is in excellent condition with no damages of any kind. The interior is clean with no staining. There are no chips or issues with the spout. It looks like it has never been used and packed away for a good number of years. There is a little very light crazing (typical issues on these pieces and mentioned here for accuracy). This is very light and only noticeable on close up inspection.
Dimensions: The height is 5 3/4 inches. From spout to handle it is 9 1/4 inches.
You often find the cups and saucers in this pattern but the teapot and coffee pot are the "holy grail". I have priced these at a fair price as a complete tea-sets can retail for over £700!
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
