These pieces of Arabia glasswares are now hard to find and are becoming increasingly collectable as modern Scandinavian design classics.
I currently have two boxed examples available in my store, as photographed.
This is a flask or decanter from the 1970s Nautica Range and designed by Inkeri Toikka (the wife of Oiva Toikka). My decanter was mouth blown into a mould and then hand-finished. It comes in its original box. This design for made for only a short time and this accounts for its rarity value. It was only produced from 1973 - 1975.
I am able to date my flask precisely - as it still has its quality control leaflet inside the box and dating this to being an early one made in 1973.
It comes with its original box - which gives you details of all the other designs available in the series, as photographed. They were made in three different colours, brown, green and clear.
The boxes have the vintage Arabia Wärtsilä stamp on them and there are also the same logo stickers on the rim of the flask.
Dimensions: The height is 9 1/2 inches (not including the cork stopper). The diameter of the base is 5 inches and the diameter of the neck is 1 1/2 inches.
I don't think that my decanter has ever been used and is in excellent, damage free condition. It comes with its original cork stopper - these are often lost. These are now hard to find - and I am lucky two have two of them. This one has a box in good condition (the other box has a little scuff to one side), as photographed.
Given that both are boxed, with original stopper and unused - my price for each flask is a fair one.
