This is a very rare and collectable vintage Portmeirion style storage jar or lidded pot. It is a fine large size - 8 1/4 inches in height and with a diameter of 4 ¾ inches.
The design is for Crown Toothpaste. These old designs reveal the late 1960s fascination with the "olden days" and the Edwardian era - was very popular with Carnaby Street style. This is similar to Chemist Series pots made at Portmeirion.
It is in pretty good vintage condition - with no chips or cracks. It has its original pale wooden lid.
There are a couple of minor scuffs to the transfer pattern on the front, as photographed. These are only in two small areas - and only noticeable from a close-up inspection and not when your storage jar is on display.
