This is a harder to find and better quality souvenir from the Glasgow Empire Exhibition of 1938.
It is a vintage Scottish toffee or sweetie tin.
It is in relatively fine condition given its age.
The tin has a sky blue tone colour to the main body. The lid continues with this colour and has a printed image of the Scottish Pavilion - and the Red Lion motif in the top right-hand corner.
The image is certainly very Art Deco in style.
These old souvenir tins are now highly collectable.
This one is in good condition with a nice clear image on the lid (the lid is a lift-off one and not hinged).
There are a couple of very minor scratches but nothing to worry about - a wee scratch to the side - but that is about the only issues.
No rusting or nasty dents.
A nice item to add to your collection of items from International Exhibitions or World Fairs.
Dimensions: 14 x 10 x 4 cm
It is one of a number of rarer tins from this exhibition in my Iconic Edinburgh online store, of course, postal discounts would apply if you would like more than one item.
HAPPY TO POST INTERNATIONALLY, PLEASE ASK FOR A POSTAL QUOTE OUTSIDE OF THE UK.
