This is a lovely piece of minimalistic Scandinavian art pottery.
It has a lovely egg-shell sheen brown colour glaze and has a subtle lightly embossed and rather ghostly fish motif in the centre.
It dates to the 1960s - and was made for Royal Copenhagen by the designer Nils Thorsson for Aluminia as part of their Marselis range.
It is a nice size - measuring 6 inches square with a height of 1 1/2 inches.
It is fully marked to the back - with the Royal Copenhagen mark - and the cypher for Nils Thorsson. The pattern number is 2666.
It is in good vintage condition with no damages.
A harder-to-find piece of vintage Thorsson art pottery, and this is reflected in my asking price - would look fabulous on a fine piece of vintage rosewood Scandi Modern furniture.
