This is certainly a very fine vintage Scottish paperweight to add to your collection. It was made by the glass maestro at Caithness Glass, Margot Thomson
This one is called Accord and is CT-1047. It is number 202 from a limited edition of just 750 pieces (closed at 564). It has the etched edition number and title on the base.
This lovely weight has a dark inky blue base colour. Inside the weight, there are three strange triffid-like flowers. They have three mottled green glass leaves and the flower heads (tulip shaped) are made of red and orange air bubbles with pointed tips. These join together at the top of each.
I just love this weight with its more contemporary colours and styling.
It is of course in excellent vintage condition with no damages and measures 2 3/4 inches in height, and with a diameter of about 3 inches. Weight unpacked is 600 grams.
