This is a very vibrant piece of vintage hand-blown Scottish art glass.
It dates to around the 1930s. It is Shape EB and has this annotated on the original label on the base. The Monart label has the following written on it in ink: EB 156 and IX. One corner of the label is missing, as photographed.
Interest in good Scottish Monart pieces are on the rise and my price for this attractive red one is certainly a very fair one.
These red pieces are always much sought-after. The main body colour is the red colour and at the top we have black flecks and lots of tiny gold aventurine inclusions. The gold coloured aventurine twinkle when caught in the light. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
My vase has a height of 5 1/4 inches. The diameter of the flared rim is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The base is 4 inches wide.
The vase will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked and Signed For post. This will be applied for your order at the checkout.
