This is a pretty piece of vintage hand blown Scottish art glass. It dates to around the 1950s.
It has a little polished pontil that you find on pieces of Monart glass - but I think that this piece is probably Vasart (possibly made by Salvador Ysart) and made a little later than the Monart pieces.
The shape of this vase does not appear in the catalogue of shapes of Monart glasswares.
It is certainly a pretty vase with quite subtle, pale pastel colours.
The base colour is a dusky pink tone - from which issues all around pretty lilac coloured swirls - and this blends in with the peppermint pink colour around the rim. There are lots of silver aventurine flecks added in the green section which catch the light and sparkle.
This one has a more unusual shape with the two rings to the base section.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Nice larger size - with a height of just over 7 inches. Diameter at the top is 5 3/4 inches - and at the bottom it is just under 4 inches.
Weight unpacked is 900 grams.
Fair price for a larger piece of vintage Vasart studio glass.
