This is a pretty piece of vintage hand-blown Scottish art glass. It dates to around 1946 - 1956.
It has a little polished pontil that you find on pieces of Monart glass - but I think that this piece is probably Vasart and made a little later than the Monart pieces. It is unsigned - but it is a typical Vasart shape, (V001). Vasart did not always sign their pieces. It is noted that this shape was not usually marked as Vasart.
It is certainly a pretty vase with quite subtle, pale peppermint green and mint colours.
This one has a more unusual shape with its pretty three-way crimped rims- a great item to add to your collection of vintage Scottish Art Glass.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Nice larger size - with a height of 8 inches. The diameter at the top is 7 inches x 6 inches - and at the bottom, it is just under 4 inches.
The weight unpacked is 900 grams.
Fair price for a larger piece of vintage Vasart studio glass.
