This is a sweet little antique 1920s Scottish Monart Glass Bowl.
It is one of two similar bowls that I am currently listing.
It is certainly a good starter piece for your collection of Scottish Monart glass.
The bowl is a simple round shape with no rim - and is probably a little fruit bowl for serving berries in. But it also looks good as a little decorative piece of Scottish glass on display.
The body colour is mottle blue which gets slightly darker in tone towards the rim. It is slightly darker in tone than my other one. I have taken images or both bowls together - but it is only the darker one on offer here.
The base is polished and there is an indented ground-down pontil mark. It has no longer has its original paper label - but it is definitely an old Monart glass bowl and is being sold as such. The shape is classified as ZA. I have priced accordingly to take into account the missing paper label on the wee pontil. There are no gold or silver inclusions in the glass.
As you can see from my photographs - it in perfect condition with no damage of any kind. I have taken lots of images were taken for your inspection.
Dimensions: The diameter of the rim is 4 3/4 inches. The foot is 2 1/4 inches in diameter The height is 2 1/2 inches.
It shall be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked postage in the UK. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
