This is a fine Scottish glass paperweight. As you can see it is beautifully made and was created by Strathearn Glass.
This Strathearn weight dates to the 1970s and has a polished burnt orange mottled base.
It also has an old Strathearn paper label on the base.
The canes are beautifully placed with eight white spiral latticino twists, which radiate like spokes from the central rosette. The orange base colour shines through the twists.
The central millefiori cane is pale green in colour with a surrounding rosette of lilac and plum-purple canes. The outer rings consist of white and aqua green canes.
A very attractive vintage Scottish glass paperweight.
It measures 2 1/4 inches in height with a diameter of about 3 1/4 inches.
The paperweight is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or polishing.
