This is a very stunning piece of vintage hand-blown Scottish art glass.
It dates to around the 1930s. With the completely smooth raised polished mark on the base 0 which you find on smaller-sized Monart pieces. There is no paper label on the pontil - but these are often lost over time.
It is a rarer miniature version of Shape D Size: IX or X.
Interest in good Scottish Monart pieces are on the rise - and my price for this wee gem is certainly a very fair one.
It is certainly a beautiful example of vintage Scottish glass with such lovely subtle colours.
The base colour is a pretty pale mottled pink tone with some rising swirls of black and a small number of gold aventurine inclusions.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
With a height of 5 1/4 inches. The diameter at the widest point is 4 inches. The diameter of the rim is 2 1/4 inches. The weight unpacked is 350 grams.
The postage in the UK will be Royal Mail Recorded post - this will cost £4.95 and be applied to your order at the checkout.
