This is a more unusual and collectable piece of vintage Caithness glass.
It is made using a similar procedure as Caithness paperweights - but this is a large perfume bottle.
It is of bulbous form and has an internal cavity where your perfume or fragrance would be held.
The base colour is set with a large red glass poppy - with green glass leaves all around - it is beautifully made. Inside the internal cavity, there appears to be a second glass poppy - which is cleverly reflected onto the internal sphere area from the base.
This beautiful bottle was designed by Helen Macdonald in a limited edition of 500. This is number 26 (as etched on the base). The base also gives the title of this bottle Sultry Evening.
On original issue price when it was first released was £195.
It is a nice large piece of Art Glass - measuring 6 inches (including stopper).
The height of the body section is 3 1/4 inches - as is the diameter.
Love the shape of the stopper which looks like a big teardrop shape.
The weight unpacked is 850 grams.
In lovely condition with no damages.
An unusual addition to your Caithness glass collection.
