This is one of a small number of beautiful Scottish paperweights designed by the glass Maestro William Manson - which are available my Iconic Edinburgh online store.
This lovely weight is called Daisy and Ladybird - and is number 61 out of a limited edition of 250 (as annotated on the base).
It closed at 89 - so not so many were made as originally projected, and now makes it substantially rarer.
It is fully inscribed with edition details, title etc on the base.
It was issued in 1990 - and its issue price was £185.
So my asking price for this lovely weight is certainly a most fair one.
Sadly - it has no box or certificate, but complete with all details signed on the base.
It is a fine example - and it has cushion cut with facets all around.
The ground is a golden-amber colour.
Inside the weight - there is a beautifully rendered large white dairy - the detail of all the white petals is especially fine - and I love the tiny little red and black ladybird climbing up the stalk.
Certainly - as fine an example of this type of weight as you might expect to find.
It is in damage free condition, and as you can see a really fabulous example.
It has a diameter of just under 2 3/4 inches and a height of just under 2 inches.
Weight: 390 grams
