These are three little antique Scottish pottery plates.
They are all of a matching pattern with white prunus flowers on a pink background around the rim. The plates are all of different sizes.
On offer here are all the plates shown in the photographs.
They date to around the 1920s or early 1930s and are hand-painted.
They are painted on pottery "blanks" and are signed on the base: Mak Merry
The china blanks were probably made and supplied by Maling and Sons, Newcastle-on-Tyne.
These cheerful side plates are very pretty and in excellent condition.
Dimensions: the largest plate is 9 inches. The next one is 5 inches and the smallest one is 4 1/4 inches.
CONDITION: They are in a fine vintage condition. There is a little craquelure to the glaze which is common with Mak Merry pieces.
These are such lovely Mak Merry decorative plates. I have some other pieces in this pattern including a rare teapot.
