This is a lovely large stoneware coffee pot (or lidded jug) made by Buchan Pottery, who were based at Portobello, near Edinburgh (now closed).
It is certainly a most substantial piece of Scottish Pottery. It measures standing at 9 3./4 inches in height. From handle to spout it would be 6 1/2 inches. It would hold about 2 1/2 pints of coffee or liquid . You will certainly hit that caffeine high with this large pot!
This is a harder-to-find and collectable pattern called Sutherland. This features a stylised abstract pattern of feathered shapes that look like flowers. The are depicated in pastel colours.
A most lovely coffee pot or large lidded pitcher. It is in good vintage condition. Postage will be with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel) and applied to your order at the checkout.
