These beautiful Sheila Fleet brooches are always attractive and sought after. This fabulous one was made by the Orkney jewellery designer, Sheila Fleet.
The brooch design is called Skyran and it was inspired by the oldest written text discovered in Orkney on the Brisam stone. The Ogham writing on this pendant reads "a blessing on the soul". It love the subtle blue enamels used - these are from the Twilight palette. In Orkney norn, Skyran means to shine or glitter brightly.
This is a more vintage example - but is in as new condition. The design is still available at the Sheila Fleet stores - but here have price ticket of £250. This is a good bit more affordable - but looks just as good!
It is in good condition, nice and clean and with no damage to the enamel. Sadly, I do not have its original box - but it will be sent to you in a good quality gift box for you to store the brooch safely when you are not wearing it.
