This is a pretty piece of designer Scottish silver.
It is hallmarked in Edinburgh for the year 1992 - and is stamped with the maker's initials: SW (sadly I have been unable to identify the maker from this information).
It is very similar to designer bird jewellery made at Ortak and Shetland Silver.
My pendant features a Golden Eagle in full flight - one of his wings is stretched out in front of him - it is made on two levels - with the body section and his tucked-in wing being a thin top layer.
The silver has a brushed finish to it - and not polished shiny.
It has a nice silver chain.
In excellent condition with no issues - it is nice and clean.
It comes in its original presentation box and is ready to wear.
Dimensions: From wing-tip to tail the eagle measures 5.6 cm (2 3/4 inches). Height of the bird is 3.5 cm (1 3/8 inches).
Length of the chain is about 17 1/4 inches from hook to ring clasp on it. So a nice generous length.
Fair price for this eye-catching piece of designer Scottish silver - and probably a unique piece by a Scottish designer.
