This is a nice set of EIGHT vintage Edinburgh Crystal stemmed HOCK WINE glasses, They would be ideal for cocktails, white wine or dessert wines, They would probably would be too small for modern consumption of white or red wines. Tall and slender with a nice rounded shape to the bowl - they are just lovely!
The pattern is the ever-popular Star of Edinburgh one. Please note that each of these glasses has an old letter "C" engraved on the side. I think that these glasses might have been commissioned for someone those first name or surname starts with the letter C.
Due to the inscription on each glass - I am reducing the price of each glass.
Dimensions: They are 6 3/4 inches in height. The foot is 2 3/4 inches. The rim is 2 1/8 inches in diameter. The diameter of the bowl at the widest is just over 3 1/4 inches.
I have a total of 8 of these on offer here, as they all match. I could probably split these into smaller sets - please ask. I also have three whisky tumblers in the Edinburgh Star of Edinburgh pattern - with the same etched initial on the side (those are only £25 for the three).
The Star of Edinburgh pattern is a classic one that was first introduced by Edinburgh Crystal in 1948. They are in excellent vintage condition with no damage to them. They have a lovely ring to them - fine glasses!
