This is a very fine 1920s drypoint etching by the celebrated British printmaker, Stanley Anderson.
It is an original fine art etching and drypoint- and is pencil signed in the margin below the image.
It is entitled "Avignon from the Rhône", and was made in 1926.
It comes from a limited edition of 70 impressions issued by the artist and signed. It is not taken from a book or any such publication. It has a harder to find drypoint by Anderson and sought after by collectors.
The image measures 22 x 39.5cm and the new mount measures 40 x 56 cm.
It is beautifully presented with a fresh window mount - it is not framed - but can easily be popped into your local framer and you can select a frame of your choice.
It is simply a really beautiful impression with rich velvety drypoint tones, no condition issues.
Another comparable impression is in the collection of the British Museum, London.
