This is such fine squat hand-thrown vase with the most exquisite lustre glazes by the potter Tony Laverick. It is marked with an incised ASL (his initials) on the base, as photographed. Laverick used this mark only up until 1992 - so this is an early studio piece by him. My pot dates to the late 1980s when he set up his own pottery studio.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection. The vase is in excellent vintage condition with no damages or condition issues. The base body colour is a thick mottle midnight blue glaze - this has been applied to thickly that it runs down the sides of the pot on the base section and forms a raised line to the foot. The rim of the base is unglazed and shows the white pottery / porcelain that the pot has been made from.
My vase is 4 1/4 inches in height from base to top of the flared neck section. The diameter at the widest point it 6 1/2 inches. The top of the neck is 3 inches in diameter.
The vase will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked Post. This will include full insurance against loss or damage in transit - and will be applied to your order at the checkout.
