This is a nice pair of rustic studio pottery hand-thrown stoneware bowls.
They were made by Donald Glanville (b. 1937) of Settle in Yorkshire. He established his pottery in North Yorkshire in 1977 where he produced a selection of domestic and decorative wares.
The bowls were made for sale in the Wolf House Gallery (Silverdale) in Lancashire, as noted on the labels on the bases (photographed). The Gallery is still in operation.
They are not only a fine decorative pair of later 20th-century studio pottery - but they are also very functional and a good size for serving or on display in a country or rustic cottage interior. Both are very stylish and functional ... they will look very attractive on a pine table or kitchen dresser filled with brown and white eggs.
Dimensions: The larger has a height of 3 1/2 inches. The diameter at the top is 6 inches. The smaller is 3 1/2 inches in height with a slightly smaller diameter of 5 3/4 inches.
They are in excellent condition with no damage. They are priced at a very good price of only £25.00 each.
UK Postage will cost £4.95 for Recorded Post with the Royal Mail - this will be applied to your order at the checkout.
