This is a stunning Art Deco vase. It was made by Crown Devon.
It has a most unusual shape with two open curved additions to each side.
The main colour of the vase is an egg-shell cream colour with a little addition of pale octhre mottleing. The vase has a circular foot - with a brown-ochre glaze on it. The thing that is special about this piece - is stylish pattern on each side. This has been all hand-painted and takes the form of an exotic tree. The branches are covered with blue shapes with large gold dots all over the lots of gold forming outlines and a geometric abstracts pattern near the rim.
I have never seen another quite like it - so I suspect that it is a rare survivor. I think that the designers at Crown Devon may have been looking for inspriation and borrowing motifs and designs from Clarice Cliff.
Dimensions: It is 8 1/2 inches in height. From lug to lug it is 6 inches. The diameter at the rim is 4 1/2 inches and the base is 4 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, no crazing and the gold detailing is without rubbing or losses. You wont be disappointed with it.
It will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
It certainly would be a bit of an eye-catcher in an Art Deco interior.
