This is a stunning antique inkwell made after a design by Carl Stolzle in the manner of Loetz around 1900.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
The main inkwell body is cube-shaped and made of dark green glass with a slight iridescence to it. The glass section has been overlaid with brass decorative embellishments - these take the form of sweeping waterlily tendrils. The lilies swirl about with Art Nouveau / Jugendstil lines.
There is a metal collar to the main body - and there is a hinge with a leaf-shaped brass lid. It has an impressed mark underneath the lid (as photographed) D.E.P. 10385, R.G.M. 168180.
The inkwell measures 8 cms to top of lid and is 6.5 cms square.
These antique inkwells are highly collectable - which is reflected in my price. It is in excellent condition with no damages to the glass, the metal casing has its original patina of age. The inkwell cap and hinge is secure with no issues.
Probably an item for the more specialist collector, and as nice an example as you might find.
Postage for my ink-well will be capped at £4.95 for UK postage. It will be about £25 to post to the States with International Tracked. This will be added to the order at checkout.
