I love these black and yellow striped ceramics made in the 1950s by the German pottery, Zell Schmider Keramic.
This one has an unusual undulating shape - I love the shape of the rim as you look down into it from above. These vases were called "Tigris" and were designed by Anneliese Beckh. They also did amazing cat vases with the yellow stripes. My vase dates to around 1956.
Dimensions: Height is 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cm). The width at the widest point is 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm). The depth is 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm). Unpacked it is just under 400 grams.
It is in excellent condition with no damage. It is fully marked with the maker's details on the base. There is an issue number: 4044. These stylish German vases are highly collectable.
