This is a charming mid-century modern Scandinavian tea-set.
It is complete with the tea pot, milk jug, lidded sugar bowl and six cups and saucers. All the pieces are in excellent vintage condition.
The set was made by the Norwegian pottery firm, Figgjo Flint, as marked on the base. The designer was Ragnar Grimsrud.
The design is a more unusual and harder-to-find one - and is called Crocus. The main body colours of the pot and cups are a rich sky blue shade - and this is offset by the white saucers, lids etc - which are decorated with pastel-coloured crocus flowers.
I also have a very rare coffee set by Ragnar Grimsrud available in my shop - this has the same shape as this Crocus range - but has a more stunning Valencia pattern applied.
The dimensions of the pieces forming the set are as follows: the coffee pot is 5 inches in height and with a diameter of 5 inches. The measurement from handle to spout is 8 1/2 inches. It is 700 grams unpacked.
The milk jug is 2 3/4 inches in height and with a diameter of 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The lidded sugar bowl is 2 3/4 inches in height and 3 3/4 inches in diameter - both pieces unpacked as 410 grams.
The cups (six) all measure: 2 1/2 inches in height and have a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. The teacup saucers are 6 inches in diameter - and they are all 1 kg in weight unpacked.
It is rare to find a complete set - and this is reflected in my asking price.
I have other pieces available in this pattern in my online shop - of course, good postal discounts would apply.
Postage would be UK only - and sent to you with Parcelforce24. Thsi will cost £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
