This is a splendid, large size bottle vase design by as part of the Satellite series. It dates to the early 1990s. It was designed by Bertil Vallien (b. 1938) who was one of Sweden's leading glass artists.
The vase has a main body colour of speckled and textured white glass with splatters of primary coloured flecks at random points on the body surface. Front and back is a gold speckled oblong patch of fused gold tone foil as a decorative device. Lovely tall, elegant neck with flares out at the top and with an orange ring near to the top. There is a clear polished pontil mark on the base - which has an etched signature on it.
It is one of the largest sizes in the range measuring some 12 inches in height. With a width 7 1/2 inches and a shallower depth of about 2 1/2 inches at the widest point.
In excellent condition with no damages.
