This is a splendid, large size bottle vase design by as part of the Satellite series - which dates to the early 1990s.
It was designed by Bertil Vallien (b. 1938) - one of Sweden's leading glass artists.
The vase has a main body colour of speckled and textured white glass - with splatters of primary coloured flecks at random points on the body surface. Front and back is a gold speckled oblong patch of fused gold tone foil as a decorative device. Lovely tall, elegant neck with flares out at the top and with an orange ring near to the top. There is a clear polished pontil mark on the base - which has an etched signature on it.
It is one of the largest sizes in the range measuring some 12 inches in height. With a width 7 1/2 inches and a shallower depth of about 2 1/2 inches at the widest point.
In excellent condition with no damages.
