A very sweet little Edwardian vesta for your collection.
It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1905 - and was made by T. Heatley.
It is in lovely antique condition - and as you can see from my photographs - decorated all over with scrolling acanthus leaves. There is a circular lozenge on the front - for the addition of a monogram. The lozenge is blank.
There is a little loop to the side so that you could hang the vesta from a watch chain. A good clean striker in the base. The hinge is to the side and is in place and opens and closes readily.
There are hallmarked on the front lid of the case, and also inside on the rim - which is rolled gold - or with a gold blush finish.
Perhaps as nice a little Edwardian Art Nouveau vesta as you might find.
A nice little one to slip into a waistcoat or vest pocket. It measures: 4.5 x 3.5 cm
The vesta will of course be sent as a little parcel in a sturdy box to you to keep safe in transit, and not put in a padded envelope. This is reflected in my postage quote which is tracked and signed for with the Royal Mail.
