I love this little vintage 1960s souvenir guitar - from the era of the Beatles.
It is one of the many quirky souvenirs that were made for fans of the band.
This one is a little toy guitar - but beautifully made to scale.
It is made of hard plastic as you can see in my photographs.
The guitar was made in England by Selcol - and dates to 1964. The model is called a Beatles "New Sound" Toy Guitars.
It is a smaller size: have taken an image of Robert holding it - so you can get a sense of scale - but let me give you the dimensions...
It measures some 23 inches in length and with a width of 8 inches and a depth of 2 inches.
The top is a cream coloured plastic - and it is a dark tangerine orange on the back.
This one is in excellent vintage condition - it has some very fine surface scratches on the back (very light and confined to the surface layer - hardly noticeable at all and mentioned here for full accuracy). The other issue is a missing string - easy to re-new if you have more nimble fingers - all the bits there to attach a new string to are present so should be an easy enough job).
All the images of John, Paul, George and Ringo - are nice and clear with no scratching.
It is in a nice clean condition - all the original pegs etc for the strings are present on the neck of the guitar.
So a lovely vintage piece - given its rarity I would imagine that it will probably be more of a quirky display item than a toy.
Taken lots of images for your inspection - listed at a fair price - given that it is in such nice clean condition.
