These are harder-to-find crystal glasses.
They are what's often called a large footed "Juice Glass" - but could also be considered a water goblet - or a glass for larger servings of red wine. Also, they are harder to topple over if you have had a good tipple! lol They are also most excellent for a large G&T - especially if you like a lot of ice in your glass.
They are beautifully made and a lot of work and skill has gone into making them. I have been unable to source the pattern - and they are unmarked with any etched maker's mark - this is also puzzling me. They are certainly of the quality of vintage Stuart, Waterford or Webb Corbett glasses. Perhaps they were originally in a presentation box with stickers - but these ones certainly have me rather stumped as to attribution.
They are a nice large size: measuring 4 3/4 inches in height, with a diameter of 3 1/4. The foot (engraved with a large star) is 3 1/8 inches in diameter.
The pattern is a strange design with a ring of conjoined diamonds at the top - and then in the middle an L-shaped zig-zag pattern all around - then with little criss-cross XXXs around the base when the bowl of the glass sits right down onto the foot. It is a very busy pattern as you can see in my photographs and it is a very stylish set.
They are sold all nice and clean - and of course with no chips and damage-free.
I am having to list these simply as a more unusual set of large English crystal glasses - and based on the quality and larger size of them, I am going to list each glass at just over £12 each
Sadly - due to the fragility of these glasses, I will only be able to post to the UK. I will use Parcelforce 24 to send to you. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
