This is a lovely chunky mid-century glass bowl.
It is unsigned and has no old labels - but stylistically it looks like an Italian piece from Murano.
I am dating it to around the 1960s.
The walls of the bowl are thick and are pale bowl graduating getting darker to the edges.
Cased inside the blue glass are thin red stripes of glass - which issue from the centre of the bowl - to me, they look a little like a spider's web.
It is a lovely vintage bowl and you won't see another quite like it.
The base is been polished flat and it rather large in size.
In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks; as you can see in my photographs.
It has a lot of weight to it - as it is a heavy-duty piece of glass... unpacked it is nearly 2kg in weight.
It measures 3 inches in height and has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches.
Sadly, due to the weight, I would be unable to post this fine bowl outside of the UK.
