This is such an adorable little advertising tin box dating to the 1950s.
The lid shows an image of a little girl and boy out carol singing. The colours used are very much mid-century. The edge of the tin is a festive red colour, as photographed.
It is an advertising tin for Cadbury's Milk Chocolate biscuits - and it would have contained 1 lb of biscuits.
Dimensions: 6 x 8 x 1 3/4 inches.
It has a hinged lid that opens and closes just fine. It is over 70 years old now - so in remarkable condition for its age. There are a couple of very minor dents - and a couple of very tiny scuffs to the design on the lid.
The interior has some little bits of spotting from oxidization to the metal over the decades - this occurs naturally with age. - but the interior remains nice and shiny with a lot of silver tone. It is generally nice and clean - with no grubbiness.
A nice vintage Christmas advertising tin - this is not such a common design so a fair price for it.
