This is a cute little mantlepiece Staffordshire figurine. It is a genuine 19th Century example dating to around the 1870s.
It is a very simple equestine figurine showing lady on a prancing horse. The lady is in full riding habit. She has a large hat on with a scarf which sweeps to the side with the forward motion of the horse. She sits side-saddle and is shown iwth a long skirt on sitting to the side.
The modelling of flatback figure is nice and detailed. I cant believe that the raised front leg of the pony is without damage.
Dimensions: The overall height is 8 1/4 inches. The width is 6 inches. The depth is 2 inches.
The simple white colour is perhaps perfect for more modern interiors. Details are picked out with gold highlights - a pretty wee figurine for a fireplace in a country cottage.
Listed at a fair price which reflects the pristine condition of this charming flatback. It will be sent with Royal Mail Tracked (Small Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
