This is a rare large lidded pot that was made at the Danish Porcelain Manufactory (1936 - 1969).
The back stamp or monogram on the base of this dish was used in 1936 - so it is now over 80 years old. And it looks like it was made only yesterday.
It is in excellent condition with no damages.
The design is also uber-stylish and with its traditional stripes, it never dates stylistically.
These lovely original 1930s examples are now very rare - and this is probably an item for the more specialist collector of Scandinavian Art Deco Pottery.
This pot was designed by Alex Bruel and was part of the Dan-Ild series.
It will be hard to find another one from this date.
It measures 7 1/4 inches in diameter and has a height of 5 1/2 inches. The handle measures 2 3/4 inches.
It is a heavy piece and weighs 1.3 kg in weight.
It will have to be sent to you with Royal Mail Medium Parcel. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
