This is such an unusual Swedish hanging glass lamp.
I have two of these in stock - but have decided to list as SINGLE items rather than as a pair. You can select 2 in the quantity box if you wish the pair.
The "Istappen" lamp hangs from the ceiling and takes the form of an icicle. It was made by Atelje Engberg in Urshult, Sweden and dates to the 1960s.
Each of my icicle lamps has a brass-anodized aluminum cap section where a light bulb is inserted (it might be best to use an LED bulb to keep heat from it low) - and below this is a long tapered four-sided glass finger forming the ice. The glass is textured to resemble melting ice and this was made by the celebrated Swedish glass company, Orrefors.
Both my lamps are in excellent vintage condition with no damages. I have tested these and they work when connected to an electric supply.
Dimensions: The overall length of the light is 15 inches. The glass icicle section is 9 1/2 inches. The metal cone is 5 inches. The electric cable to hang it from your ceiling is 22 inches (or course this can to shortened). The weight of each lamp is 720 grams.
The lamps would be posted to you in the UK with Parcelforce24. This will be just over £10 and applied to your order at the checkout (the postage for the pair will be capped at the same amount).
