This is an unusual little vintage toffee tin.
It dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s, and was made for Horner's Toffees.
The lid is decorated with a portrait medallion featuring an image of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns.
Behind, is an image of his birthplace - the Burns Cottage at Alloway.
The base of the tin is red.
The interior is in fine condition with no nasty rusting - just a little oxidisation of the tin, commensurate with age.
There are some very minor little dents or ripples to the lid - but not major and does not affect the tin when on display.
The colours of the image are nice and bright - and with no disfiguring scratches.
I have never seen another tin with this Burns image on it - so this is a rarer example.
Great addition to your vintage collection of Burnsiana.
