This is a fine vintage Scottish car club badge.
It dates to the 1950s / 1960s. It is impressed on the reverse with the maker's name: Alexander Scott / Glasgow. It also has an issue number: AA1714.
It would have been attached to the car grill with the screws.
The badge is a good heavy vintage one - made of chromed brass. With original fitment, nuts and bolts.
There is no loss to the chrome and no rusting or black marks - you often find blemishes to the silver-tone finish. All the cast details are nice and crisp. The finel condition is reflected in my asking price - which is a very fair one.
There is an enamel Saltire / Scottish flag in the center - and this is also in good condition with no damages. You often find this is chipped or scratched.
It will look just lovely as part of your collection - or applied to your vintage car grill.
The back is shiny chrome - again in pretty good vintage condition - apart from a long vry fine scratch - but this is the only issue with it - and would not be seen on display.
The chrome has a mirror finish and is very shiny - it has been hard to photograph due to all the reflection.
Dimensions: 4 3/4 inches in height. The diameter is 3 3/4 inches. The stand or fitment at the base is 1 1/2 inches wide.
A very nice example of this attractive vintage Scottish car badge. I shall post it with Royal Mail tracked postage. This will cost £4.95 in the UK and be applied at the checkout.
