This is a collectable 1950s Beak Vase which was designed by the celebrated Danish designer, Per Lutken. It was created in the late 1950s for Kastrup / Holmegaard Glass. It is probably one of their most famous and coveted designs.
It has a very organic shape and comes with a cute "beak" lip. It is called the beak or duckling vase because it looks like a young ducking's beak.
This one is in the stylish "smoke" colour - great for more contemporary minimalistic interiors. It is a nice larger size being 10 inches in height.
This vase has been in my collection for 20 years - and I have just listed three iconic pieces of art glass which I am offering up for sale - after a bit of a shoogle on my display shelves at home.
Obviously - it is in lovely condition.
It has an etched signature on the base: Holmegaard and with Per Lutken's customary initials. Given its condition, size and that it is a signed piece - this is reflected in my asking price.
It would have to be sent to you in the UK with Royal Mail Medium Size Parcel (Tracked and Signed for). I would not like to try and squash it into an inappropriate sized box and it gets broken in transit to you.
