This is another quirky little novelty from the 1950s. It is a drinks pourer and is is made of chome - and has a wind-up key on the circular drum. When the pourer is wound and lifted to pour your drink- it plays the famous Scottish tune by Burns "Auld Lang Syne". What fun!
It is in excellent condition - there is a chrome bell section with a cork inside - through which the little pourer tube comes out into the bottle. You press the cork into the neck of your bottle and it will hold fast there. When you tilt your choses tipple the liquid will run up the tube and out the little pourer tube at the top. This will has its little hinged cover (these are often missing). The pourer is called humourously "Decantata". It is in pristine condition - and has never been used.
The pourer was made in England and has a registration number impressed on the side of the drum: 856993.
It comes with its original box. The inside of the box is fine and nice and clean - sadly the purple paper label on the external lid of the box has wrinked over time. Boo Hoo! But it is rare to find the box in any condition.
A really sweet little pourer for collector's of bar or cocktail accessories. The price given relates to its fabulous and unused condition.
