This is a vintage powder compact for a cake of pressed powder. It still has a powder cake inside it - a rose-toned powder cake.
This is marked with the Stratton logo on the base and also has an all-over pattern of tiny stars, as photographed.
It is in very good vintage condition and dates to the late 1950s / early 1960s.
The main body is gold-tone with a textured gold pattern behind the design on the lid. The top of the lid has a transfer-printed image of a large orange rose and little rosebud. It is certainly a very pretty mid-century pressed powder compact.
The mirror inside the lid is clean and without marks or spots on the surface. The diameter is 7.5 cm (3 inches). I have taken lots of images for your inspection. My asking price reflects its age and its fine condition.
UK postage will be with the Royal Mail and this will be applied at check-out.
