This is a very much sought-after vintage sewing box. It dates to the late 1950s / early 1960s.
As you can see from my images, it is in excellent vintage condition - clean outside and inside. The material has no marks or tears.
It takes the form of a little stool - with a lid that in hinged and flips to to reveal the yellow wipe-clean vinyl interior. It can be used as a storage box for keeping all your sewing items in - or for any other craft or to keep small personal items together.
It is very stylish Sherbourne box and a mid-century design classic. The legs screw off and are similar to the wooden legs that you might find on an old Dansette free-standing record player.
The exterior is upholstered in a mustard colour heavy boucle material with a chocolate brown detail to the front. These colours fit in very well with a modern retro-style interior. It would fabulous in a "rockabilly" or rock and roll style interior. The fabric is original to the stool. The colour, shape and excellent condition of this piece is reflected in my asking price.
It measures as follows: The height is just over 40 cm. The width is 56 cm and the depth is 37 cm - so it will have to be confined to UK Postage with Parcelforce24. I will unscrew the legs to make it safer in transit. It will be a little more expensive to post in the UK due to the weight - but happy to cap the postage for you at £14.95
